Ketamine - The Post-Club Drug

Ketamine is best known as a party drug. Ketamine was most popular in the 90's when the rave culture was a big deal but now it isn't as popular a drug in the US. Ketamine is most popular in the Hong Kong party scene. Ketamine goes by many names such as, K, special K and vitamin K. One use of the drug is as a "date rape" drug. It is used like this because it makes a person pass out and forget where they are and what they are doing. This drug is also used as a post-club drug to calm down after partying really hard or using some sort of stimulate. The use of Ketamine has decreased to the point where less than 1% of middle school and high school kids have used it.

All the numbers of people who have used are low and declining, their are people who do use it and who need help. They can find help through drug treatment and substance abuse treatment. It is a drug that is not a joke and that should be treated with care. People who use it should know the dangers and make an effort to quit using it.

As you can tell, ketamine is a drug that was most popular in the 90's during the rave era. Now, it isn't use that much in the States but it is still popular in Asia. With use numbers under 1%, people might think that it is no longer a problem but it is a big problem to the people that use it and who need help with their problems.
